The Sand Filter 90 gpm is a sand filter which filter 90 gallons in minutes. A Sand filter is a device that physically filters water to remove suspended particles in water such as mud, bacteria, and corrosion particles. Sand filter is used to purify surface water (rivers or wells) , removal of colors, return water of cooling towers, filtration of industrial and human wastewater, filtration of drinking and industrial uses (city and industrial treatment plants) are used.
In general, the sand filter is responsible for circulation when the water passes through the granulated sand bed. As a pre-treatment, it makes the water transparent, but the salts and other organics in the water are not removed.
An example of a common sand filter in homes is the refrigerator water filter, which as a sand filter is only able to absorb coarse particles and provide clear water for consumption. Also, the use of sand filters in swimming pools, in addition to separating the particles above, also absorbs a lot of fats floating on the water.
